Black Peoples Advancement & Defense Organization
The mission of the Black Peoples Advancement & Defense Organization is to: protect and defend poor people, in Hillsborough County and the City Of Tampa, from every aggression of The State, great or small, intentional or accidental, by any means necessary, and educate, organize and mobilize people, in Hillsborough County and the City Of Tampa, in a way that will enable us to control our tax dollars, as well as the government officials responsible for those dollars, and make them work for our greater good, instead of our oppression.
Black Peoples Advancement & Defense Organization Platform
1. We demand the right to food, shelter and clothing, for every person, in Hillsborough County and the City Of Tampa.
We believe our collective resources and all monies obtained, through our taxation and federal, monetary awards of any kind, based on our presence, can provide adequate food, clothing and safe, affordable housing, if such funds are used first and foremost, for such purposes.
2. We demand education, in Hillsborough County, that exposes the true evil actions of US government and emphasizes the achievements of Black people and our contributions to this world, and uplifts and advances our culture.
We believe the dishonest education, currently existing in Hillsborough County Schools, perpetuates the division, between Black people and White people. Furthermore, we believe Hillsborough County Schools System’s intentional refusal to allow Black people to become knowledgeable and experienced, in aspects of our culture, that not only enthuse us, but that profit other people, is the reason only barely a third of the Black children, in Hillsborough County Schools graduate with a diploma.
If the Hillsborough County School system refuses to provide such an education, that teaches the truth about American society and Black peoples place in it, the Black Peoples Advancement & Defense Organization should receive adequate funding, from our taxpayer dollars, to create and build institutions, hire faculty and staff and acquire the resources necessary, to provide this education.
3. We demand an end to police containment, police brutality, excessive arrests, disproportionate sentencing and inequitable incarcerations, of Black people, in Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa.
We believe we have the right to live, work, attend school, socialize and pursue our goals and dreams, in the city and county where we pay taxes, without experiencing terrorizing intimidation and torture, at the hands of city, county, state and/or federal agencies, or their agents.
Black communities, in Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa, are over policed. The never-ending presence, of law enforcement, in Tampa’s Black communities, and the ongoing surveillance, of Tampa’s Black communities, by law enforcement, nearly always results in the unjust and unlawful harassment, arrest, criminalization, incarceration, torture and death, of Black people. This constant removal of people and money, from Tampa’s Black communities, must be overturned, if Black people, in Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa, are to have a future.
4. We demand the right to build a Black Peoples Advancement & Defense Organization.
We believe it is our absolute duty to protect and defend ourselves and our political gains, from the aggression of police and/or any other force, by any means necessary. We also believe Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa have failed miserably, at protecting and defending, the majority of taxpaying citizens, within their purview.
Therefore, we believe, the only way to secure our safety, safeguard our communities and preserve our future is through the existence of an organization, which will defend our freedom and fend off aggression. That organization is the Black Peoples Advancement & Defense Organization!
