ABOUT THE GIFTED

Commanding audiences with his engaging presence and vocal delivery is the quotient of Malachi. His energy exudes perfection with a sound and feeling that can only be described as “Universal Soul”.

Malachi says, “You might hear any of these styles coming from me but whatever you hear, it will always be soulful. No matter what realm I decide to explore, my passion will be left on the track for my fans to absorb.”

Even in an oversaturated market, people have taken notice of Malachi’s unique ability to deliver, perform and sell records. Malachi is far from local, but he plans to launch his latest project “MADE IN ATLANTA” worldwide under his own label HUSTLIN BOY RECORDS. The latest single “THANG THANG” produced by Mr. Hanky Boy of Mr. Collipark Music and “I WANT YOUR LOVING BACK” produced by Ness Lee. Both singles along with their videos are buzzing on the net and on local television networks.

Malachi was initiated into The Dungeon Family by Grammy producer & CEO of Dungeon Family Rico Wade in 2005 and Malachi has been a proud member ever since.

More than a poet, more than a singer, more than an emcee--it's not just what she says, it's how she says it. Emerging from the musical womb that is New Orleans, artist and visionary Sunni Patterson combines the heritage and tradition of her Native town with an enlightened modern world view to create music and poetry that is timeless in its groove.

Sunni has been a featured performer at many of the Nation's premier spoken word venues, including HBO's Def Poetry Jam. She has also had the priviledge of speaking at the Panafest in Ghana, West Africa. She has worked with several well known artists and performers including Hannibal Lokumbe- singing lead vocals for his score,"King and the Cresent City Moon," Kalamu Ya Salaam, Sonia Sanchez, Wanda Coleman, Amiri Baraka, Laini Kuumba Afrikan Dance Company, and many more.

There is so much more to say about her, but words just cannot describe her way, her Spirit, her grace, or gift of healing. In every word/sound she utters, you hear the grit and grime, hope and love, problem and solution, optimism and faith. She is a mouth piece for the Ancestors, a vessel used to promote goodness in a world where oppression and injustice seems the order of the day. What a blessing it is to feel her warm and nourishing rays shine light on your soul!

"You have so, so much inspired me with your Spoken Word" said the legendary Stevie Wonder, while interviewing Taalam Acey, during Wonder’s own birthday celebration in May 2008.

Over the years, BET has featured and aired roughly a half dozen segments featuring Taalam Acey. Taalam Acey has recorded more than a dozen CDs and authored four books.

He was featured in an acclaimed Radio-One London slam poetry documentary and Marc Smith, the founder of slam poetry, used Acey's work in his definitive book. Taalam currently resides in Baltimore, Maryland.

13 of Nazareth is a spokenword artist (performance poet) from Virginia who has been sharing his experiences on stages throughout the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom since 2002. The primary theme of his hip-hop influenced poetry is the discovery and recognition of multi-layered connections where there is the appearance of none. 13’s work is underscored with spiritual references from various eastern and western religious traditions and ranges from the use of abstract imagery in the conveyance of universal concepts to the concrete, sometimes painful and horrific, aspects of our history as well as our now.

13 of Nazareth accomplishments include appearing on BET’s Lyric Cafe, being invited to speak and perform at the prestigious Julliard School twice, winning the Word Fair (2001), Word UP (2004), Southern Fried (2004), and being a member of Washington, DC National Poetry Slam Team (2009 & 2010)

The seemingly effortless writing ability of this Norfolk, Virginia native has been celebrated by fans and respected by his contemporaries since he became a committed member of the modern spoken word movement.
